You will plan, prepare and cook a wide variety of meals which are appealing, nutritious and meet the dietary needs of all residents. You’ll ensure sufficient food stocks are available and you will be responsible for placing orders with suppliers. You will supervise other team members and interact with residents on a daily basis - so you’ll be friendly, caring and kind whilst respecting residents dignity at all times.ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare and cook a wide variety of meals that are appealing, nutritious, and meet residents’ dietary needs.Ensure sufficient food stocks are available and place orders with suppliers.Supervise other team members and interact with residents daily, maintaining dignity and respect.Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen and dining environment in line with statutory requirements.RequirementsUnderstand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCP, Health and Safety, COSHH, Environmental Health.Ensure all kitchen equipment is in full, safe working order and report faults to management immediately.About usAt Water Mill House Care Home, we believe a happy, supported team delivers the best care.
