Our client, a leading national construction firm, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Site Manager to oversee significant building projects in and around Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, UK. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the successful, safe, and timely completion of construction works on site.The Senior Site Manager will manage all on-site operations, including personnel, resources, and adherence to project schedules and quality standards. Responsibilities will encompass:Overseeing all daily site activities, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.Developing and implementing detailed site management plans and construction programmes.Managing and motivating site teams, including direct labour and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Ensuring strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental policies and legislation.Conducting regular site inspections and safety audits, addressing any issues promptly.Monitoring progress against the project schedule, identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective actions.Managing site resources, including plant, materials, and labour, ensuring efficient utilisation.Liaising with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to resolve site-specific issues and provide progress updates.Maintaining accurate site records, including daily reports, progress charts, and accident reports.Approving work orders and ensuring materials are delivered to site on time and in full.Implementing quality control procedures to ensure all work meets specifications and industry standards.Managing site inductions for new personnel and ensuring ongoing safety training is provided.We are seeking candidates with a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects, such as commercial buildings, residential developments, or infrastructure works.
