Responsibilities Design discrete structural packages, producing reports, calculation packages, and specifications. Supervise technicians in producing clear 3D models and drawings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create coordinated design solutions. Communicate design solutions verbally, through sketching, drawing, writing, and presentations. Visit construction sites to inspect progress and assess existing structures. Report directly to the lead structural engineer and engage with external consultants. Take responsibility for designs, be proactive, and support less experienced team members. Qualifications Engineering degree and progressing towards Chartered status (MIStructE / MICE). Working knowledge of structural engineering principles and Eurocodes. Developing understanding of analytical techniques and design software. Interest in low‑carbon design and assessment of embodied carbon. Willingness to take responsibility, be proactive, and support junior colleagues. Security clearance required prior to appointment.
