Teaching Assistant, Prestwich/ Manchester Primary School

Location: Manchester, M25

A diverse and inclusive primary school in the Prestwich area are currently recruiting for a Teaching assistant role. About the role:
* 320 pupils, ages 5-11
* Offering support to children in a classroom environment and has facilities to support pupils on a 1:1 basis in their own rooms outside the main classroom
* Support the class teacher with preparation of work for the class and managing the class environment
* High proportion of children come from non-English speaking families, some languages spoken include Somali, Urdu & Bengali
* Work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups with children to support targeted interventions in areas such as reading, writing and speaking.

* Passionate about making a difference
* Ability to use various techniques to support children in managing their behaviour
* Be patient, supportive and have an understanding approach
* Ability to make learning fun for the children
* Minimum Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent
