Responsibilities Your daily duties will include ward rounds of the patients, at least two per week will usually be with the consultant, two with the registrar and one independently with senior supervision. Other ward jobs include writing discharge summaries, making referrals to other specialties, ordering and acting on investigations, reviewing unwell patients with supervision from a consultant/registrar when required. There will be opportunities to attend clinics and other sessions depending on your area of interest and staffing levels on the ward. Support & Training In order to ensure your transition and ongoing support in your role at East Cheshire Trust a package of support will be provided for you which will include a paid 1 week structured induction within the department you will work, a designated educational and clinical supervisor for the duration of your placement at the trust and the use of a personalised ‘Horus’ portfolio in which to document your clinical/extracurricular activities. Additionally, a £500 study leave budget, pro rata if working less than full time, will be available to you to support course attendance. There is the potential for the right candidate to be supported to attend related skills courses as appropriate. All successful candidates will be offered both ILS and ALS training fully funded by the Trust to augment their competence portfolio. This post will be F2 level dependent upon your previous experience. You must have 12 months UK NHS experience to apply for this post.
