Lance Lane Medical Centre is looking to recruit a part time Receptionist to join our friendly and established team.Hours will be upto 30 hours a week. We will consider one person or job share for upto these hours. This will be temporary position for 6 months but will be reviewed. Candidate/s must be flexible with their start and finishing times and days.We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, driven, a team player with fantastic customer service skills who is willing to learn and likes to make a difference. You should be EMIS proficient, but we are happy to develop these IT skills if needed.GP Reception Experience and knowledge of EMIS Web is ideal.Main duties of the jobThis role involves greeting and booking patients in atreception, booking and cancelling appointments.Answer incoming telephone calls and ensuring calls aredocumented and directed where appropriate.Ensure correspondence are filed electronically in correctpatient records.Assist with daily administration duties such as filing, pickingup emails, scanning, dealing with queries and processing prescriptions. Undertakeadministration tasks as allocated on rota organised by Manager.About usLance Lane Medical Centre is a well established GP practice in Wavertree, South Liverpool. We strive to maintain a supportive team environment for our clinical and non-clinical staff members.Our current team consists of GP Partner, Practice Manager, 5 Salaried GPs, 1 ANP, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 HCA, Secretary and Reception/Care Navigator team.Lance Lane Medical Centre is part of CWN PCN (Childwall and Wavertree Network) with additional support received from Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Health and Well-being Coaches, Physician Associates, Social Prescribers, First Contact Physiotherapists and Mental Health practitioner.Lance Lane Medical Centre was been awarded Practice Team of the year 2023.This was awarded by Royal College of General Practitioners for Mersey faculty (which covers Liverpool, Wirral, Sefton, Knowsley, Halton and St Helens, East and West Cheshire, and Isle of Man)We are CQC rated Good (2022).We are a Sponsorship Practice.Job responsibilitiesReceiving patients, consulting with members of practice teamHanding completed repeat prescriptions to patient/representative and checking names and address and code appropriately.Be able to cover all reception position as necessaryProcess appointment requests for today/future appointments from patients by telephone and in person.Deal with visits/requestsReceiving telephone callsForwarding calls to the correct destination when necessaryTaking messagesReceive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.To have a thorough knowledge of all practice proceduresTo work in accordance of written protocolsPulling/filing notes for summarising and updating as necessaryFiling/Scanning post in medical recordsFax and photocopy as requestedCompleting/filing electronic documents through workflowCompleting tasksRegistrations of new patients computer data entry and medical recordsProcess patients changes of address computer data and medical records (have knowledge of practice area)Process repeat prescription requests in accordance with practice guidelinesPerson SpecificationSkills, Knowledge and ExperienceCommunication SkillsTeam PlayerWilling to learnQuick learnerQuick thinkerAbility to work under pressureOrganisedFlexible approachInitiativeMotivatedHardworkingBasic IT skillsPrimary care knowledge/experienceEmis system knowledgeNHS experienceDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
