OverviewThe East of England Primary Care School (part of the Workforce, Training and Education Directorate of NHS England) are looking for enthusiastic and innovative educators to join the team as GP Training Programme Directors. This particular post is advertised to support the existing GP training programmes most impacted by recent and upcoming training placement expansion. The successful applicants will work together with the existing GP TPDs in their respective programmes, the Associate Dean and the wider Primary Care School Team. Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.Accountability and focusTPDs are professionally and managerially accountable to the Associate Deans and Head of School for General Practice and through the Deputy Dean to the Postgraduate Dean. Postholders will focus upon ensuring quality learning experiences for Resident Doctors in General Practice training with the region through the improvement of learner supervision, assessment and experience, engagement of faculty and ensuring effective educational outcomes, both now and in the future. The post holder is a key member of the team working with Post Graduate Doctors in Training who are appointed to GP training programmes within the east of England.
