You will quickly build rapport with patients and coordinate care with internal and external providers by forming excellent provider-patient alliances. The Psychologist position is in an outpatient clinical setting where you will interact directly with patients.Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:Conduct individual, family or group therapy sessions based on ethical and medical necessity guidelinesDevelop and coordinate a clinical treatment program for the diagnosis, treatment, or referral of patients presenting mental health conditionsConduct psychological assessments and interpret resultsInvolve patient and/or family in treatment planning as appropriateLead crisis intervention methods and provide insight into the development of functional assessments and behavioral intervention plansComplete clinical documentation according to policyYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Active and unrestricted (PhD, PsyD) license in the state of practice2+ years of experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals, families and groupsAbility to commute to the location in-personPreferred Qualifications:Comfortable working with a wide range of clinical presentationsSignificant experience evaluating adults and/or children in an outpatient clinical settingComfortable completing diagnostic assessments, general psychiatric testing, and providing direct therapy in an outpatient clinical settingKnowledge and experience in providing neuropsychological, CBT, and other evidence-based interventionsExperience with health psychologyExperience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)Explore opportunities at Optum Behavioral Care.
