Support Worker Required – Sundays
Location: Reading

Hours: Sundays, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM and occasional adhoc cover.

We are seeking a kind, reliable, and patient support worker to assist a lovely female client living with Rett Syndrome, a neurological condition that affects communication, language ability, memory, mobility, coordination, and other brain functions.

Our client is non-verbal and requires full support with mobility, personal care and daily activities. She previously underwent spinal surgery to correct scoliosis and has two spinal rods for spinal support.

Support is needed on Sundays from 9am to 1pm, which includes attending a local church service with the client. The family provides access to a mobility vehicle for staff to use during shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with personal care and morning routine

*

Supporting mobility and transfers

*

Accompanying the client to and from church

*

Providing companionship and ensuring comfort throughout the morning

Requirements:

Experience working with individuals with complex needs is a must

*

A caring and respectful approach to support

*

Valid driver’s license (for use of the family’s mobility vehicle)

*

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
