SEND Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our happy village school. We have a vacancy for a SEND teaching assistant on a fixed term basis from Jan 26 - Aug 26, with the possibility to extend based on available funding. Ideally you will have some experience of working with pupils with SEND but support and training will be provided, so a positive attitude and willingness to learn is the most important quality we look for. The post is for 25 - 32.5 hours p/wk across 5 days, term time only (38 weeks p/yr). We have some flexibility with this so the role may suit someone with their own commitments before and after school. Ideally we are looking for someone (but we can be flexible for candidates who show potential): Willing to work with children with a high level of need, potentially across classrooms rather than be fully classroom based With experience or with potential to specialise in leading and delivering language programmes. With a sense of humour and a ready smile who is able to appreciate the joy in our learning community and engage with our supportive parent/carers to deliver our vision With GCSE maths and English or equivalent With some experience of supporting children with SEND We are able to offer: Flexible working e.g. attendance at school plays/sports day etc. A friendly, well-established school team in a calm and purposeful learning environment Support and guidance from middle and senior leaders including our Inclusion Manager, SENCO and SALT lead.
