Genetec Application Engineer

About the role We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer (Senior Consultant) with extensive knowledge of the Genetec platform to drive the successful mobilisation and delivery of access control and CCTV projects across our Enterprise client base. The role will support enterprise-level application selection and implementations, including migrations from legacy systems to Genetec. Experience working in a wide-ranging, fast paced, and dynamic environment is a key requirement. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Genetec security systems. What you will do Responsible for ensuring that system projects are completed, from requirements gathering, system / solutions design, through to deployment within agreed deadlines, within budget, and any potential issues escalated in line with internal policy whilst maintaining the client’s best interests Initial consultation with clients to develop the client requirements / scope of works Conduct workshops and client sessions to develop the detailed requirements and prepare associated reports, etc. Consultation with client and other stakeholders as required Act as a point of escalation for the group, both technically and operationally Prepare outline and detailed Enterprise Architecture, Solution Design and associated documentation Prepare technical specifications, solutions design information, system schematics, etc. Support the project procurement process through ‘Requests for Information (RFIs) / evaluations’ through to detailed ‘Requests for Proposals (RFPs) / Invitations to Tender (ITTs). Including document preparation, tender evaluations, recommendations to clients, etc., all using QCIC standard methodology Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Genetec systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability Support project mobilisation, including workshops, requirements development, etc with Vendors, client stakeholders Support the system implementation / deployment activities, including active involvement in the set‑up, programming, configuration, and implementation activities Manage and report on project finances on a day‑to‑day basis Support commissioning activities and project completion activities Train end‑users and provide ongoing support to ensure effective system utilisation Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary global team Continually ensure that practices, policies, strategy, and services represent the client’s and the Company’s best interests, and that the Company's policy is in keeping with current legislation, International Standards and Codes of Practice etc. What we are looking for Have knowledge and experience in the practical design and implementation of electronic and security systems Experienced and qualified in Genetec AACS and CCTV Application, experience with a further system such as Lenel or CCURE would be beneficial Experienced and qualified in Genetec VMS / CCTV Applications; experience with a further system such as Milestone or Victor is beneficial Strong understanding of IP‑based security systems, networking, and video surveillance technologies , including migrations and implementation A high level of proficiency and expertise relevant to the design, deployment, and management of integrated Enterprise physical and technical security systems. This will include a comprehensive understanding of ICT Infrastructure, Hosting Arrangement, and Networks Proven technical experience in design, management, and delivery of physical security systems / application projects within a corporate security environment Capable of managing complex stakeholder environments. Candidates will require the skills and aptitude to drive decisions quickly and efficiently Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, including Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint A high level of expertise and experience in electronic security system upgrades and migrations The ability to identify and meet project deadlines and deliverables Experience with producing technical reports Strong written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external parties #J-18808-Ljbffr
