We will ask for evidence to meet this criteria on application discussion.Are you a Maintenance Engineer from an industrial, manufacturing, or similar background looking to join a large, global company offering a unique and exciting role based at Heathrow Airport?Are you looking for a long-term career in a business that invests heavily into their employees through ongoing training and development courses, with plenty of room to progress into senior roles?In this hands-on maintenance position, you will be working on a range of cargo-handling equipment, at a major world cargo hub at Heathrow Airport.Your work will include PPM and RM of cargo/material handling equipment, conveyors, sensors, motors, etc, with training given if needed. You will ensure the system’s functionality and reliability by carrying out planned and preventative maintenance, as well as fault finding and repairs.You will report to the UK Engineering Manager and work within a team setting to provide a highly effective and efficient maintenance service.As a Material Handling Equipment Maintenance Engineer, you will:Maintain the electrical and mechanical elements of the MHE systemCarry out all PPM (Planned and Preventative Maintenance) in line with set schedules for the system and sub-systems to comply with relevant Industry, H&S, legislative and Company standardsAssist in preparation of reports as requested by the UK Engineering Manager.To be successful in this role, you will need:Hands-on capability to resolve day-to-day maintenance issues in an effective and timely mannerEngineering Analytical skills and Fault-findingProactive Teamwork and communicationDemonstrable ability to absorb complex systems knowledgeAbility to learn and demonstrate the execution of new skills when given appropriate trainingWorking knowledge of material handling equipmentAn appreciation of project managementKnowledge of Engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagramsAppreciation of planned preventative maintenance schedulesConfident use of common power tools, professional and hand toolsAble to accurately interpret manuals and drawings to deliver working capability (mechanics, electrics, pneumatics, hydraulics)Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAirlines and Aviation and Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and StorageReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Innovate by 2xWe’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
