OverviewPalletiser Operator – Print DepartmentDoncaster Plant5 Crew ShiftsRole descriptionTo operate glass container packaging equipment and report any malfunctions or defects to maintain efficiency and quality.ResponsibilitiesCheck that containers are packed using correct materials and labelled correctly in order to meet customer requirements and comply with packaging specificationsObserve the packaging equipment and report any mechanical malfunctions or container defects that may occur to supervisionRepair any basic faults and jam ups, with the packaging equipment, if possible, or report immediately to supervisionComplete and record APS checks to provide an accurate reference pointAssist after job change to establish and maintain effective operation of packaging equipmentRework / repack of production as requested by the QC Foreman and carry out housekeeping as required in line with the Company’s Health & Safety and Hygiene regulationsCarry out packed ware audit quality checksRequired skills / qualificationsAbility to interpret Packaging Specification information and pack glass manually in event of equipment failureAbility to use Company fork trucks – where appropriate training has been given and licence attainedGood observing skillsAbility to recognise and respond to basic mechanical malfunctions and container defectsFamiliar with Cold End work areas and equipmentWhat we offerSalary Minimum £36,388 - £41,779 Maximum Per annum Grade 4Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributionsNormal shift pattern is determined by the 5-crew shift rota, however, typically consists of a two 12-hour day shifts followed by two 12-hour night shifts and then a six-day rest period which includes 21 shifts holiday when working the 5 crew 12-hour shift rota -Holidays are built into the shift 5 crewAn environment where we support the development and progression of our employees, tailored to the individual’s aspirations and business opportunitiesHealth and wellbeing initiatives, such as Occupational Health and cycle to work schemeFamily friendly policies and Company Sick Pay, after qualifying periodRole Profile available on request.This role is open to internal and external applicants.Closing Date: 4th December 2025About Ardagh GroupArdagh Group is a global leader in metal and glass packaging solutions, producing packaging for the world’s leading brands.
