Job Title: HR Employee Relations Specialist Department: Human Resources Reports to: Employee Relations Manager Location: Site based, any TP UK location or work from home Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Up to £34,000.00 (based on 40 hours per week) Management Responsibility: None Travel Required: Occasional Overview The HR Employee Relations Specialist role is the primary point of contact for managers to provide best‑in‑class expertise and advice for complex employee relations cases across all disciplines, including employee wellbeing and support, discipline and grievance, and industrial relations and litigation. The specialist will also manage Employment Tribunal claims, liaise with ACAS/LRA, draft tribunal responses, prepare legal arguments, and meet all case‑management deadlines. Key Responsibilities Act as the main point of contact for managers on complex employee‑relations matters, advising on risk mitigation. Provide practical and credible advice on discrimination, unfair dismissal, early conciliation, settlement agreements and contract changes. Handle Employment Tribunal claims: write responses (ET 3), prepare bundles, witness statements and negotiate resolutions. Maintain and update the Employee Handbook in line with employment law and best practice. Support change programmes in redeployment, redundancy, restructuring, contract harmonisation and TUPE. Build strong partnerships with HRBP and other internal stakeholders across operations, client solutions, business development, project management, payroll, workforce management, training, recruitment, IT, finance and HR administration. Champion automation and streamlining of HR practices to improve efficiency without compromising service delivery. Keep knowledge up to date with new HR concepts, case law and best practice in employee relations. Track and maintain key statistics, providing reports and presentations as required. Support core HR projects and complete associated administration. Uphold the Teleperformance management ethos of “Acknowledge, Support, Move Forward” in all advice. Maintain and update SharePoint in line with best practice and employment law changes. Comply with any orders made by Employment Tribunal. Perform other duties as assigned. Main Job Requirements Education and Specific Training: Formal qualification in a HR‑related area or equivalent employee‑relations experience. CIPD membership or comparable professional designation preferred. Up‑to‑date knowledge of employment law. Work Experience: 2 years of recent HR employee‑relations specialist experience in a contact centre; 3 years in another high‑paced industry; or 4 years of HR generalist experience in any industry. Desirable Certifications: Prior mediation training or certified mediator. Required Skills Technical Skills: Comprehensive computer skills; proficient use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
