What you’ll be doing We're looking for a charismatic and dynamic leader to step into the role of Head of Communications, someone who can bring big ideas, a bold personality, and a contagious enthusiasm to our communications strategy. As our Head of Communications you will be the voice that connects our people with the heart of our business, managing our communications platforms and orchestrating the flow of information to keep our teams informed, engaged, and inspired while maintaining our image and reputation externally. Develop and execute a bold, creative internal communications strategy that aligns with our company’s vision/values and rapidly evolving goals. Deliver a unique‑to‑us external communications strategy that includes PR and Thought Leadership, identifying market opportunities, elevating our spokespeople and expertise, and managing reputational risk. Develop our ESG strategy and planning, ensuring our commitments align with our business and resonate with our stakeholders. Lead the creation of vibrant, compelling content that brings our company’s story to life across all internal channels, including newsletters, videos, intranet and live events. Drive initiatives that energise our colleagues, amplify our unique culture and foster a strong sense of community and belonging. Be a visible, approachable leader who can connect with colleagues at all levels, delivering messages with personality, passion and authenticity. Continuously seek out and implement fresh, innovative approaches to communication, leveraging new tools, platforms and trends to keep our messaging dynamic and engaging. Inspire, mentor and lead all creative communications, cultivating a culture of collaboration, excellence and high energy. Act as a key advisor to leadership during times of change, ensuring clear, empathetic and impactful communication that guides employees through transitions. Lead communication efforts during crises with confidence and clarity, ensuring all stakeholders are well‑informed and supported. Use metrics and employee feedback to assess the impact of communication efforts and continuously improve engagement and effectiveness. Lead our event calendar, ensuring our company events are engaging, well‑communicated and within budget. Help manage and improve internal communication channels and processes, including but not limited to the intranet, content management systems, e‑mail, videos, workshops, social media, and events, along with line‑manager and executive communications. Manage the company’s intranet and collaborate with colleagues across the business to build a calendar of key business‑wide communications. Who are you Master Communicator: Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex business updates into clear, engaging messages that inspire action. Cultural Leader: Passionate about employee engagement, and committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels heard, respected and included, actively seeking diverse perspectives. People Leader: This role has direct reports across Internal Communications and ESG, so the ability to lead and inspire is essential. Creative Thinker: Brings fresh ideas and creative solutions to the table, always pushing the boundaries to ensure communication is compelling and innovative. Experienced Organiser: Highly organised with a proven track record of managing multiple projects, including large‑scale conferences and events. Brand Champion: Strong understanding of brand tone and voice and comfortable creating visually engaging, on‑brand templates and materials. Tech‑Savvy: Comfortable with digital tools and platforms, and experienced managing internal communication channels and implementing new digital signage solutions. Strategic Mind: Thinks big, sees the bigger picture and knows how to align communication strategies with business objectives. Natural Leader: Presence and energy to captivate and inspire large, diverse audiences. Enthusiastic: Thrives in a fast‑paced environment, bringing a positive, can‑do attitude to every challenge. Adaptable: Comfortable with change and can quickly pivot to meet evolving needs and priorities. Experience: Relevant career experience in a communications role with demonstrable skills designing, delivering and measuring the success of communication strategies and plans, and proven ability to create compelling and impactful messages in all media.
