As such, this global broker, with its host of ancillary services and specialist teams offering an unrivalled product suite, is well-placed to deliver exceptional client service to this regional market. Its York office is based just out of the city centre at Monks Cross Retail Park, so close to the local arterial roads with plenty of shops and amenities nearby, and well-served by public transport. As such, this role will appeal to candidates from across North Yorkshire and large parts of Leeds.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage an allocation of commercial accounts across various sectors such as Property Owners, Manufacturing, Motor Trade, Hospitality, and professions.
  2. Develop a deep knowledge of clients' businesses and the risks they face.
  3. Ensure insurance programmes reflect clients' appetite for risk and suggest innovative ways to mitigate gaps in cover.
  4. Work closely with Account Executives and Directors to make mid-term amendments, answer general enquiries, and handle renewals and policy administration.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Some commercial insurance knowledge and understanding of common covers.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Ability to build professional rapport with clients from various sectors.
  4. Diligent, with a keen eye for detail and excellent task-management skills.
  5. Ability to work in a compliant fashion within a highly regulated sector.

This is a hybrid-working position, where you will be welcome to work remotely several days per week, if desired.
