Base pay range Salary: £16.74 per hour Hours: Bank - Zero hours Shift times: As/when needed in the service - shifts vary between 8am-5pm About the role Shaw healthcare is looking for a Bank Cook who is ready to make a positive impact at New Elmcroft, a nursing home located in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, offering 60 en-suite places. It provides a range of services, including nursing, residential, dementia, and respite care. Job Responsibilities Prepare, cook and serve meals for residents and others as required, in a timely manner. Provide a varied diet, catering for the cultural preferences of those who use our services. Cater for celebrations and other events in our Home. Order supplies within the catering budget and company policy guidelines, using approved suppliers in the absence of the senior cook. Maintain accurate catering records in accordance with HACCP. Participate in inspections by Environmental Health and/or care regulators and Local Authorities. Maintain a high standard of hygiene within the kitchen by adhering to HACCP and COSHH guidelines. Assist in the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment by ensuring adherence to Health & Safety and Welfare. Ability to manage the Catering Team.
