Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an English Teacher located at Middlesbrough. The English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role includes fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment, preparing teaching materials, monitoring learners' achievements, and contributing to the development and improvement of the department. Collaboration with colleagues and participation in departmental activities to enhance student outcomes will also be key responsibilities. Qualifications Strong knowledge and expertise in English Language and Literature with the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to interact effectively with learners and staff. Proficiency in assessment strategies, curriculum development, and instructional planning. Experience in fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment and supporting learners of diverse abilities and backgrounds. Teaching qualifications such as a PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent are required. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching certification is advantageous. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to continuous development within the department.
