Band 7 Clinical Specialist Diabetes Dietitian

ResponsibilitiesProvide autonomous diabetes care for patients using advanced clinical skills and knowledge of diabetes across our Outpatient service.Lead and autonomously manage a caseload of Outpatients with Diabetes including Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3c Diabetes, ante‑nal, young adult, renal, and CGM/pump/HCL therapy patients.Deliver structured education (DAFNE) to patients with type 1 diabetes.Deliver insulin pump training to individuals and groups of patients with type 1 diabetes and provide ongoing follow‑up.Take responsibility for own evidence‑based practice and implement and add to the body of knowledge that supports expert practice within Diabetes.Lead and innovate diabetes‑related specialist practice, both within the Trust and through local networks.Develop diabetes guidelines, protocols and policies for the Trust.Develop / train all staff within the multidisciplinary team, providing support, advice, formal and informal education; support training of dietetic students.Actively contribute to and participate in the delivery of Trust‑wide multidisciplinary mandatory training and teaching.LocationPost will be based at Royal Free Hospital site with 1 MDT clinic per week at Edgeware Community Hospital.Eligibility & RequirementsBand 7 Diabetes Outpatient Dietitian.Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom or meet sponsorship criteria under the Skilled Worker visa route.Must hold or be eligible for a DBS (CRB) if the role involves regulated activities.TrustID electronic identity verification will be required as part of pre‑employment checks.Additional InformationTrustID will verify identity and right to work documentation remotely using a certified identity verification service provider.During the application process, applicants may be required to capture images of relevant documents and a selfie for facial matching.The Trust collects personal details using electronic new‑starter forms on Trac; information is securely stored and used to set up the employee record on the ESR HR system.The Trust is compliant with the Disclosure and Barring Service codes of practice and the Rehabilitation of offenders act.All communications are only via official @recruit.trac.jobs or nhs.net e‑mails; any request for payment should be considered a scam.About the TrustThe Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust serves over 2 million patients and employs more than 17,000 staff across multiple hospitals and community services.Our mission is to deliver world‑class care and expertise in clinical services, supported by teaching and research, with a focus on excellent outcomes, patient and staff experience, value, safety, and organisational strength.We welcome diversity and undertake initiatives to advance equality for LGBT+, BME, gender equality, staff carers, and people with disabilities.Flexible hours, generous benefits, and career development opportunities are available within a forward‑thinking environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
