Junior Lighting Designer

light.iQ is recruiting for a Junior Lighting Designer to join our London studio. This position focuses on the creative and technical design of lighting schemes for built environments, and the successful candidate will work closely with our intermediate and senior designers on hospitality, lifestyle, and residential projects across the globe. International travel will be required as part of project delivery.We are an award-winning independent lighting design consultancy with a subsidiary in Italy and offices in Asia and North America. Our work encompasses the creation of innovative and inspirational lighting projects in the UK and overseas, from concept stage to completion. We are looking for an individual who brings creativity, a collaborative spirit, and a proactive attitude, along with a clear enthusiasm for architectural lighting and design.Required skills and experience:Advanced proficiency in AutoCADAdvanced proficiency in PhotoshopAdvanced proficiency in DIALux (or DIALux evo)Knowledge of REVIT will be a benefit, but not essentialStrong freehand sketching abilitiesExcellent IT skills, including full proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Degree‑level education in a relevant field such as architecture, interior design, or lighting designFluent English, both written and spokenA genuine passion for architectural lighting and a strong interest in spatial design and the built environmentAll applications should include a CV, portfolio (printable format) and cover letter.
