Maintenance Technician page is loaded## Maintenance Technicianlocations: Sheffield, United Kingdomtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R-8108**If this position has a work location in the UK, you must be eligible to work in the UK to be considered.****SHIFT**SHE - Shift Std 3 Rotate 17% (United Kingdom) **A BRIEF OVERVIEW** The Maintenance Technician performs machine maintenance and facility repairs on most of the site's machines according to safety regulations and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. **WHAT YOU WILL DO*** Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment as required.* Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain the site's equipment.* Perform mechanic work including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.* Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.* Perform preventive maintenance on all machines, equipment, and plant facility.* May perform basic plumbing or electrical maintenance functions.* Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.* Perform major repairs on production equipment.* Comply with all relevant health and safety rules and regulations.* Is trained on and can independently perform maintenance on most of the machines in the shop. **EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS** * Bachelor (Preferred) **EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS** * 2+ Years Experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance (Required)* Electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and/or industrial Experience (Preferred)* Plumbing and HVAC experience (Preferred) **LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS** * Repair & Maintenance\Certified Maintenance Professional (CMP)-IMI Repair & Maintenance\Certified Maintenance Professional (CMP)-IMI (Preferred)* Property/Real Estate Management\HVAC Certification Property/Real Estate Management\HVAC Certification (Preferred)* Repair & Maintenance\Certified Maintenance Management-NAFA Repair & Maintenance\Certified Maintenance Management-NAFA (Preferred) **KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS THAT ENABLE SUCCESS** * Active Learning - Basic Knowledge* Accuracy and Attention to Detail - Working Experience* Blueprint Reading - Working Experience* Calibration - Working Experience* Communication - Basic Knowledge* Decision Making and Critical Thinking - Working Experience* Electrical Engineering - Working Experience* Manufacturing Equipment - Working Experience* Manufacturing Safety - Working Experience* Problem Solving - Working Experience **PHYSICAL DEMANDS*** Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Occasionally* Must be able to move about the inside of the building - Constantly* Must be able to move equipment around the building - Constantly* Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders - Occasionally* Must be able to position oneself and move under/around/over equipment - Frequently* Must be able to handle/adjust/inspect/position various items and equipment - Frequently* Must be able to communicate and exchange information with others - Frequently* Must be able to perform tasks that require repetitive handling/adjusting/inspecting/positioning of items and equipment - Frequently* Must be able to distinguish and detect information such as writing and defects - Constantly* Must be able to move equipment - Constantly **WORKING CONDITIONS** * Noise - Occasionally **CURRENT VERSION**: 10**WHAT WE OFFER*** Ability to help people live a longer, more active life* Opportunity to work in a growing company* Comprehensive benefit package* Ability to work in an organization that values: + Integrity First: We do the right thing + Teamwork: We are One Orchid + Results: Our results matter
