Design Manager Cambridge Location: Cambridge, UKEmployment Type: Full-time I am looking to speak with experienced Design Manager to join a growing team in Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of design coordination across a variety of impactful projects, including those within the Department for Education (DfE) sector. While DfE project experience is highly desirable, it is not essential. I am still looking for strong design managers with a background in construction, architecture, engineering, or similar disciplines who are eager to diversify their project portfolio. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the design process through pre-construction and delivery phasesCoordinate internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure design information is delivered on time and to the required standardOversee design reviews, risk management, and technical complianceWork closely with the project team to ensure buildability, cost efficiency, and programme alignmentLiaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as requiredSupport value engineering and design optimisation strategies About You Proven experience as a Design Manager within the construction or built environment sectorStrong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple design packages and stakeholders simultaneouslyWorking knowledge of relevant building regulations and design processesDfE experience is advantageous but not mandatoryYou must be based in the Cambridge area or within a commutable distance to be considered What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional development and career progressionThe chance to contribute to meaningful projects with long-term community impactA dynamic and collaborative working environment If you re a driven Design Manager looking for your next challenge in Cambridge, we d love to hear from you.
