The Director is central to developing the market and directing projects, generating revenue opportunities and mentoring junior staff. The director will work alongside senior leadership in strategic decisions, execution and company growth.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership for the BESS Solar PV technical due diligence teamManage and contribute as a subject‑matter‑expert (SME) to consulting engagements in the renewable energy sector, particularly technical due diligence (TDD), vendor due diligence (VDD) and lender technical advisory (LTA) for BESS and solar projects worldwideAssemble and lead project teams delivering on complex client engagements and ensure high‑quality work products and the effective use of resourcesStructure content and author substantive sections of technical reports, and direct mid and junior staff contributions to technical reportsAssist partners in securing new consulting engagementsDevelop long‑term client relationships and seek opportunities for follow‑up work with clientsIdentify, support and help develop service proposals for new and existing clients, from pre‑RFP preparation to proposal production to close‑outActively team with colleagues in other offices, regions and practices to identify and pursue opportunities and generate revenuePrepare and deliver reports, presentations and other documents for client deliverables and other stakeholdersContribute to renewable energy market thought leadership, internal research, and model development and designBusiness AcumenBuild, manage and maintain client relationshipsContribute to a vision for the future of the company that reflects the changing marketplace and creates a competitive advantage for ERMSkilled in business development and able to improve client service experienceTeam ManagementProvide leadership by modelling high standards of performance and professionalismHigh level of personal credibility and work ethic with staff and consistently demonstrating sound judgmentDemonstrate strong negotiation and facilitation skills with the ability to motivate, persuade and build consensusPersonal and active involvement in sourcing, selecting, developing and training of talent in conjunction with the relevant regional business leader and other members of the management teamFocus on the professional development of self and that of the junior team membersQualificationsMinimum Bachelor’s degree qualification in engineering, environmental sciences, renewable energy technology, business administration and/or related disciplineExtensive experience in the solar energy business (e.g. advisory, project development, permitting, construction, asset management)Relevant professional and/or industry certificationsExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenTrack record of business development, collaborative sales pursuits and client serviceDemonstrated thought leadership through industry publications and related forumsProficiency with standard industry software toolsOur BenefitsFlexible working arrangements, 25 days annual leave plus public holidays, annual salary review, performance‑related bonus, private medical insurance, life assurance, income protection, employee assistance program, volunteering opportunities, travel season ticket loan, Calm premium subscription, Cycle2Work scheme, gym discounts, gift‑card discounts and double‑matched pension contributions.
