Senior Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient Dispensary Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust We are urgently looking for a self‑motivated, enthusiastic and committed individual to develop their dispensary knowledge and leadership skills in this senior role within Inpatient Pharmacy at Guy's hospital. The ideal candidate will be a Pharmacy Technician with ACPT qualification, GPhC registered, able to demonstrate a high standard of dispensing in line with CQC standards, and able to train and support multidisciplinary teams. You will support the Principal Pharmacy Technician in delegating workflow, monitor and assist Senior Assistant Technical officers, train and support the team, and maintain and correct stock levels. You will also participate in the bank holiday rota, weekend working, weekly lock‑up late duty support and contribute to the new Pharmacy 2030 strategy. Responsibilities Dispense and accurately check inpatient prescriptions in line with KPIs. Support the Principal Pharmacy Technician in delegating workflow. Monitor and assist Senior Assistant Technical officers in PDRs, training and progression. Train and support multidisciplinary team, including rotation pre‑registration pharmacists and student pharmacy technicians. Maintain, investigate and correct stock levels, including high‑cost medication, controlled drugs, clinics and cytotoxic medications. Participate in dispensary meetings and communicate with wider pharmacy and Trust teams. Undertake CPD and attend courses in relevant areas. Participate in weekly late‑night lock‑up duties. Qualifications & Requirements ACPT qualification. GPhC registered. Experience in a fast‑paced inpatient dispensary. Excellent communication and proactive working skills.
