OverviewA valuable opportunity has arisen within an established compliance company known for their expertise in various sectors including asbestos, fire safety and health & safety. They are currently recruiting for an experienced and knowledgeable Health & Safety Consultant based in and around the Edinburgh area. Ideally, they are looking for an individual who holds the CMIOSH or equivalent advanced health & safety qualification and will be experienced in carrying out risk assessments and health & safety audits. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate their specialist knowledge of all relevant health & safety legislation and ability to apply this within the role. Applications from Leith, Dalkeith, Linlithgow and the surrounding areas will be considered.Qualifications & ExperienceMust come from a strong technical/consultancy/management/auditing asbestos/legionella background.Possess the relevant NEBOSH – CMIOSH certificates – Health & Safety qualifications are essential.Practical working experience within the specified industries e.g. asbestos, legionella, fire would be beneficial.Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.Have the ability to prioritise own workload.Must be able to deliver presentations.Must have an excellent technical knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, policies & procedures.Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package – Database.Flexible attitude towards work with a willingness to travel.Responsibilities of the RoleCarrying out on-site inspections relating to the Health & Safety performance of the teams.Undertaking Health & Safety risk assessments addressing any issues that arise.Carrying out Health & Safety, Staff and Compliance audits, etc.Providing technical support to the company’s clients.Producing comprehensive Audit, Health & Safety and Environmental reports.Delivering Safety training courses as required.BenefitsThis is an opportunity to join a company that offers a competitive salary, depending on experience, company car and many other benefits.Company InformationFuture Select are the leading market supplier for recruitment in the Asbestos industry, we work with the best clients and candidates and supply the majority of permanent jobs in the asbestos market.
