Job Title: Electrical Engineer Closing Date: 2025-12-19 Location: Falmer – Hybrid Working Salary: up to £55,000 depending on skills and experience About Us: At Southern Water, we’re shaping the future of engineering in the water and wastewater sectors. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated engineer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality, technically robust designs across our capital delivery programmes. Key Responsibilities Provide technical capability on water and/or wastewater projects. Assist in the coordination and delivery of design packages. Prepare and check datasheets, calculations, drawings, and reports. Undertake quality assurance checks and resolve complex design problems. Support project planning and contribute to estimating task durations. Ensure designs meet regulatory and customer expectations. Promote safety, sustainability, and compliance in all aspects of work. Travel to sites and offices across the region as required. What We’re Looking For MEng/BEng or equivalent in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Experience in water or wastewater design and asset management. Strong technical problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant technical software. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel. Ideally, professional membership of a relevant institution or working towards it. Additional Information We’re also looking for candidates open to flexible working arrangements. You may be required to support our incident response team on an on‑call rota. All employees understand the importance of out‑of‑hours incident support.
