Overview Oberlanders are a multi‑award winning architectural practice with offices throughout the UK and Ireland. They specialise in large‑scale, complex science, research, education and healthcare projects. Job Overview We are seeking a talented and motivated ARB registered architect to join our team. The successful candidate will lead and support architectural projects from concept through to completion, ensuring high‑quality outcomes that meet client needs and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Lead architectural design and project coordination through all RIBA work stages. Oversee planning applications, building regulations submissions and contract administration. Prepare 2D and 3D drawings using software such as Revit. Work on concept design, schematic design and design development phases. Collaborate with senior architects and design teams to refine design concepts. Prepare technical drawings, presentations and reports for clients and regulatory bodies. Assist in compiling project specifications, schedules and cost estimates. Ensure all designs comply with building regulations, safety standards and other legal requirements. Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data for projects. Record measurements, assess site conditions and contribute to feasibility analysis. Collaborate with engineers and contractors on‑site for ongoing project development. Help coordinate project timelines, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule. Communicate with stakeholders (clients, contractors and consultants) to ensure all aspects progress smoothly. Maintain and update project documentation as required. Work closely with external stakeholders, including structural engineers, landscape architects and urban planners. Attend project meetings and assist in presenting ideas and design solutions to clients. Stay updated on current architectural trends, software tools and industry best practices. Participate in training programmes, workshops and professional development activities to enhance technical knowledge and skills. Key Skills and Qualifications RIBA Part 3 qualification and ARB registered. Proven experience in UK architectural practice, ideally across RIBA stages. Strong design and technical drawing skills. Proficiency in Revit. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of UK planning, building regulations and contract administration. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of construction processes and materials. Strong interest in sustainable design and environmental practices.
