Operations Manager EngineeringPocklington, York, North Yorkshire YO41£55,000 - £70,000 per annumCommutable for anyone that lives in York, Selby, Leeds, East Riding, North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Doncaster, HullYou will need experience of CNC Programming to be considered for this role.Full Time Permanent Office based role working 40hrs per week – Monday to FridayHawk 3 Talent Solutions are working with a leading supplier within the manufacturing industry who have been established for over 40 years.We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join their trusted, reputable and successful business, covering two sites, one based in Pocklington and one based near DoncasterThe Role of Operations ManagerProduction and Transport Management and PlanningIn conjunction with the Company’s production planner, site supervisors and ERP system, continually review and oversee capacity planning across all activity centres to enable accurate prediction and quotation of delivery lead times. Similarly, oversee and manage the day to day planning, prioritisation, control and allocation of work within the factory.Ensure delivery dates agreed are always met.Ensure production capacity matches demand, in the short and long term, through control of overtime, manning levels, shift working, capital investment where justified or improvement in efficiencies.Recommend / implement method improvements and capital purchases as necessaryLiaise with purchasing to ensure maintenance of adequate stock levels and avoid stockout / production stoppagesFully understand the roles of, direct, lead, support and where necessary temporarily stand in for in particular immediate subordinates.PersonnelRecruit, motivate and lead all factory employeesEnsure compliance with current employment legislationRecommend / agree and continually review remuneration levels and skillsets for factory employees.Monitor and continually update disciplinary procedures in line with relevant legislation and best practice.
