We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced occupational therapist with proven clinical skills and an interest in clinical/operational/strategic development to join our team based in Canterbury. The East Kent Rehabilitation Service has a 12 month secondment opportunity for a Band 7 Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist. The successful applicant will deliver occupational therapy interventions as part of the MDT at Ethelbert Road inpatient rehabilitation unit, 6 sessions (3 days) per week and provide occupational therapy leadership to inpatient and community rehabilitation for the remaining 4 sessions (2 days) as part of the wider leadership team. The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010). The clinical lead occupational therapist is a highly experienced occupational therapist within the multidisciplinary care team. Responsibilities Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate therapeutic interventions for service users within one of the inpatient rehabilitation units; and manage a defined caseload of complex service users with occupational needs using evidence‑based, service user‑centred, hope and recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice. Be responsible for providing clinical leadership for junior staff and students through means of supervision, appraisal and training, and managing the quality and performance of the occupational therapy team.
