Join to apply for the Huntington's Disease Specialist Nurse role at Exemplar Health Care About the Role As a key member of our Clinical Team, you’ll work closely with our Clinical Director to elevate the standard of care for people living with Huntington’s Disease (HD) across our homes. This high‑level strategic role requires you to support our homes with a systematic, coordinated and coaching approach to improve people’s quality of life. Responsibilities Support the implementation of new initiatives to improve people’s quality of life Develop effective working practices and establish a complete understanding of the needs of people with HD primary diagnosis, including secondary diagnoses and complex care and risk requirements Tailor colleague training requirements and support the delivery of this training Develop and embed a HD Champion role and support Champions to link directly with local HD networks Work with the Operational Team (Clinical Nurse Managers / Registered Nurses and HD Champions) to offer support and coaching Assist with the development of quality policies, procedures, audit materials and Service User, Colleague and Relative information materials Build external brand reputation in our ability to care for people with HD About You First‑level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN Minimum two years’ experience in a specialist nurse role with extensive knowledge of Huntington’s Disease Evidence of further professional development in care, management or quality Ability to coach and motivate others and a strong background in action planning Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a pragmatic approach with strong problem‑solving and analytical skills Ability to work collaboratively with, and travel to all locations across the business What We Offer £57,000 per annum, plus £3,000 car allowance and paid NMC membership 27 days annual leave + bank holidays and 24/7 counselling and support Excellent supervision, peer support, learning opportunities and career prospects Retail and lifestyle reward discounts, free DBS check and electric car salary sacrifice scheme Paid access to the RCNi Learning platform and Blue Light Card eligibility How To Apply Sound good?
