MORSE boasts a specially selected team of scientists, engineers, and software developers to deliver best-in-class technical solutions that solve difficult multidisciplinary problems faced by the US National Security Ecosystem.We are seeking an experienced Android Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy software for mobile Android-based applications that provide algorithmic-based simulation, situational awareness, and mission planning capabilities to a wide variety of DoD customers. As a key member of our team, you will utilize your expertise in Android development to create innovative solutions that meet the needs of end users.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy Android-based applications that support autonomous vehicle systems and human teamsUnderstand end user desires, needs, and requirementsDevelop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code using modern Android development practicesRequirementsUS Citizenship required and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance5+ years of experience working with key technologies for the Android platformFluency in KotlinIn-depth knowledge of the Android SDKExperience with modern Android development practices, including Jetpack, AndroidX, MVI or MVVM, Kotlin, Coroutines, and Dependency InjectionFamiliarity with Kotlin-Gradle DSL files (Kotlin Buildscripts)Understanding of design patterns and familiarity with common patterns used in mobile application development, such as MVI, MVVM, and MVP. Experience with writing Unit Tests and Instrumented Tests.Experience or familiarity with Gradle Configuration, Proguard, and other build/packaging toolsThe team at MORSE takes pride in being the smart team that is easy to work with.
