Community Fundraiser – Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People We are looking for a committed, people‑focused Community Fundraiser to join the Income Generation & Marketing Team. The role plays a key part in building relationships across Derbyshire and the East Midlands to raise income, support events and enhance donations. Location Based at the Loughborough Hospice for the first six months, then a hybrid contract. Travel across Derbyshire and north‑west Leicestershire (Coalville, Ashby) required for events and community engagement. Hours of Work 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend work to support fundraising activities. About The Role As a Community Fundraiser, you will deliver relationship‑fundraising activity within the Derbyshire area. This includes building and managing relationships with: Community groups Schools Local authorities Community‑based businesses Individual supporters With a focus on generating income, you will strengthen connections and inspire people to support Rainbows through donations, events, and volunteering. Key Responsibilities Grow income by developing relationships with supporters in your area. Maximise donor engagement, retention and loyalty through meaningful relationship management. Coordinate and deliver community fundraising activities and support third‑party fundraisers. Ensure compliance with the Fundraising Code of Practice. Maintain accurate records and data using our CRM system. Collaborate with colleagues to deliver tailored communication and cultivation strategies. Requirements Experience in fundraising, customer‑facing sales, or marketing. Ability to build relationships with individuals from all walks of life. Strong presentation skills and confidence in speaking to groups. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Further requirements in the Person Specification (download link).
