Actuarial ApprenticeWe are seeking a highly motivated and mathematically inclined individual to join our Actuarial team as an Apprentice. As an Actuarial Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from pricing insurance and pensions to calculating reserves and capital.Responsibilities:Pricing insurance, pensions and investments using specialist techniquesCalculating reserves and capital to ensure we can pay out future claimsUsing actuarial and statistical modelling techniques to understand and prepare for a wide range of risksDesigning and developing actuarial models and software to predict outcomes and guide decisionsAnalysing past data and trends to set smart assumptions that power our modelsOptimising investment strategies to keep us aligned with regulatory requirements and risk appetiteExplaining complex concepts to stakeholders and presenting financial results that influence strategic thinkingRequirements:At least 18 years old on 1st September 2026GCSEs at grade 4 – 9 in both Maths and English3 A Levels at grade BCC including a B in MathsValid Right to Work in the UK, with a visa end date extending beyond the duration of the apprenticeship programmeWhat we offer:A competitive salary of £26,500 + fantastic benefitsA fully funded level 4 Actuarial Technician apprenticeship, followed by a degree-level programme with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA)A generous study package, including study days, tutorials, materials, exams and professional subscriptionsA wide-ranging benefits package, including a generous pension contribution, annual performance-related bonus, share schemes and wellbeing initiativesLocation:This apprenticeship is based in Bristol, and you will be expected to work from your primary office throughout the programme.About us:We are committed to creating an environment in which everyone can thrive, learn and develop.
