Cloud Platform Engineer — Bet365 Job Location: Stoke‑On‑Trent, England, United Kingdom We are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to help build, operate, and enhance our expanding Google Cloud environments as part of our Technology function. Responsibilities Build, operate, and enhance our Google Cloud environments. Support the business alongside the deployment of new products. Lead public Cloud initiatives, including the development of a public Cloud capability that matches on‑premise know‑how. Act as a key escalation point for the cloud platform team. Deliver end‑to‑end public cloud pathfinder initiatives. Advocate and lead technical aspects of our journey to the public cloud. Embed the cloud platform team within the operational running of the wider technology function. Consult with stakeholders and support their needs. Drive engineering excellence by fostering modern engineering practices and processes. Develop next iterations of self‑serve automation technologies. Qualifications Significant and broad public cloud experience at scale, preferably with Google Cloud. Strong core platform knowledge in Projects and Folders, IAM and Billing. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using industry standard tooling, preferably Terraform. Experience utilizing custom automation and scripting with G‑Cloud, CLI, Bash, Python, and Golang. Deep understanding of modern platform stacks such as Kubernetes or GKE, service mesh/ingress, CI/CD, monitoring stacks, and security instruments. Strong understanding of networking in Public Cloud environments. Clear grasp of security considerations when operating in the public cloud. Practical understanding of financial management in the cloud and FinOps concepts.
