THIS ROLE IS FOR INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY Job Responsibilities We are looking for a Project Manager to help manage the delivery of sustainable housing developments by Cambridge City Council. As part of the council’s Development team, you’ll be involved in the delivery of a range of projects including new council homes, community centres, commercial units and heritage buildings. This covers all stages from initial strategic planning, through to feasibility, detailed design and then into construction and handover. You will work with partners such as Hill (Cambridge Investment Partnership), Asset Management, Housing, Communities, Finance, technical specialists and other partners. Your role will include ensuring the council delivers on time, within budget and in accordance with Employer’s Requirements. You will have skills in project, contract, compliance and risk management. You will lead a portfolio of work, working with our partners and stakeholders, setting up new development projects, managing current projects, guiding design team meetings, project site meetings and public consultations/engagements. About You Passionate about housing development and delivery of quality sustainable homes for our residents Reliable, trustworthy, and with integrity Committed to developing productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders Has experience in development Interested in sustainability Working towards MRICS qualification or equivalent The post holder will need to travel around the city as part of their role. The post holder will be subject to a Basic DBS check. Hours and Working Pattern This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, typically 8-4/9-5 with some evening work. Flexible working patterns can be discussed. Contract and Salary Contract: Permanent. Salary: £47,181 - £52,413 per annum (City Pay Band 7), pro rata for part time. Location While the role is advertised as full time, you will be required to work from our central Cambridge office a number of times a week, but you may balance your work location accordingly.
