About the RoleAre you an experienced Civil Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career A long-standing consultancy in the heart of London is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their growing Development Infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering high‑quality design solutions across a diverse portfolio of urban development projects.You will lead and contribute to the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, with a focus on:Development infrastructure for residential, commercial, and mixed‑use schemesHighways and road layout designFoul and surface water drainage systemsSustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and flood risk mitigationSite levels, earthworks and external works designYou’ll collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, sustainably, and to the highest technical standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation of detailed designs, technical reports, and specificationsOversee and mentor junior engineers and techniciansManage project deadlines, budgets, and client expectationsUse industry‑standard design software (e.g., Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage)Liaise with planning and regulatory bodies to secure approvalsContribute to the development of best practices and innovative design approachesAbout YouDegree in Civil Engineering or related disciplineChartered or working towards Chartership (ICE or equivalent)Strong experience in development infrastructure design, roads, drainage, and SuDSProficient in relevant design software and current UK design standardsExcellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skillsAbility to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative teamWhat They OfferCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits packageHybrid working optionsSupport for professional development and ChartershipA friendly, supportive, and established team environmentOpportunity to lead impactful projects shaping London’s built environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
