I am seeking a CCTV Security Engineer to join my client on a permanent basis. As the CCTV Security Engineer, you will be involved in the installation and commissioning of a range of CCTV systems. You must be fully conversant in not only the physical installation of the CCTV systems but also understand the client's requirements and be able to transition them into a commissioning plan and then undertake and document that commissioning process.

Role:

CCTV Security Engineer

Location:

London & Hampshire

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Salary:

Up to £38,000

Responsibilities
  1. Carry out the installation, testing, and maintenance of CCTV & Security Systems.
  2. Take responsibility for installation under the guidance of the site supervisor.
  3. Install a mix of systems to a high standard and to manufacturers' standards.
  4. Provide 'Smart Hands' when working under the instruction of a Senior Engineer.
  5. Work to an extremely tight programme as part of a large team.
  6. Maintain production levels, workmanship, and high standards of housekeeping.
  7. Ensure SH&E processes and procedures are always implemented.
  8. Maintain all plant and specialist tools as supplied by Electranet in good condition for safe work.
  9. Comply with all Client procedures and processes when working on site.
  10. Carry out all reasonable requests from Management.
  11. Experience in commissioning CCTV systems and hold or be willing to work towards CITMA accreditation (Milestone).
  12. Ability to carry out upgrades on server-based platforms, NVRs, and Windows operating systems.
  13. Familiarity with IP topography and IP protocols.
Requirements
  1. Ability to obtain MOD SC clearance and willing to undergo DV clearance if required and/or MOJ clearance and willing to undertake other clearances.
  2. Excellent IT skills, including the MS suite of products with a strong focus on Excel.
  3. Good communication skills.
  4. Ability to read diagrams and schematics.
  5. Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role.
  6. Ability to install, terminate, test, and maintain all types of security systems, including CCTV, CEM, and Paxton products (Formal training with a Manufacturer preferred).
  7. Milestone Technician level one holder.
  8. PC literate to update, install, and manage network changes.
