The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced district nurse to work within the Bellshill Locality District Nursing Team. The Bellshill Community Nursing Team is committed to delivering high quality nursing care to the local community. The successful applicant will have a Specialist Practitioner District Nursing qualification. The successful candidate will be accountable for planning, coordinating and delivering safe and effective person-centred care. The post holder must be able to evidence excellent clinical leadership and change management skills. It is essential for the post holder to demonstrate high quality communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to inspire, empower and motivate their team. What we'll need you to bring Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration SPQ District Nursing/Nursing in the Home or equivalent Post Graduate Study Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice. Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice. Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification including clinical assessment and non-medical prescribing The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills. Effective time management skills Working knowledge of basic information technology It is essential that the successful candidate is a car owner/driver or has access to a car. Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence. It would be great if you also have Formal leadership development Post registration experience Experience working in primary care Further education and evidence of continuous professional development in area of speciality including study days, courses, postgraduate qualification Evidence of post registration knowledge and practical application relevant to the post IT literate Contract type Permanent Part Time 22 hours Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata. Location and Working Pattern This role will be based in District Nursing within Bellshill Health Centre.
