Senior Building SurveyorSalary - £42,708 - £47,754 (Grade 7)Hours - 37 hours per weekContract type - full time, permanentIt is an exciting time for the city of Wolverhampton thanks to more than £3.7 billion-worth of investment on-site or planned. The city has already seen rapid developments with major projects like i54, The Way Youth Zone, and i10, with more exciting developments planned for the near future. Westside, in the city centre, is a leisure-led mixed-use scheme including a multi-screen cinema, restaurants, bars, a hotel, multi-storey car park, and apartments. Additionally, there are the next stages of the Interchange project and the development of Canalside Development, along with ambitious plans for the Brewers Yard scheme, which will see more than 1,000 new homes, shops, and restaurants near the Springfield Brewery site.Due to this, we are looking to appoint an additional Senior Building Control officer with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving to help deliver a first-class service to all our customers.If you want to join our friendly team, you should be accredited to Building Safety Regulator (BSR) Class 2 A to F, hold a Degree in Building Related Subject or equivalent, and have previous experience in a Building Control organisation. You should also be willing to undertake further training as necessary.Ideally, the successful candidate would have experience in all aspects of Building Control work with a proven track record of determining domestic and commercial Building Regulation applications.
