Job Description The Urban Driver Apprenticeship is a 12‑month programme where apprentices learn all aspects of professional driving and gain their Category C1 (7.5t) licence. The apprenticeship prepares apprentices for a full‑time 7.5t Driver position within DX upon completion. Responsibilities Represent DX professionally at all times. Carry out all tasks required as part of the apprenticeship training. Drive vehicles safely and legally, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements. Perform daily checks, report defects immediately and complete correct paperwork. Scan all products with DX scanning equipment. Load deliveries safely before leaving the depot. Observe DX procedures and policies at all times. Manage routing to ensure premium and timed deliveries are achieved. Use correct equipment and PPE in good order. Report delivery and on‑road issues to the traffic office immediately. Ensure customers receive deliveries in excellent condition. Handle customer issues politely and effectively. Make collections in line with given instructions and times. Qualifications / Entry Requirements Apprentices must be 18 years or older, have at least 12 months of UK driving experience, and hold a Category B licence.
