The modular architecture of our SDK allows for flexible integration of features such as Google IMA, AirPlay, DRM, analytics, advertising, even our own OptiView products resulting in reduced application size and enhanced functionality based on customer needs.Key ResponsibilitiesApplication Development and EnhancementDesign and build advanced applications and SDK modules for the iOS and tvOS platforms using OptiView Player’s modular architectureLead the development and maintenance of the OptiView iOS SDK, focusing on core playback functionality and additional integration modulesImplement and optimize video streaming protocols including HLS, LL-HLS and HESP across various Apple devicesDevelop and maintain cross-platform compatibility for iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS implementationsTechnical LeadershipProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior iOS developers on the teamContribute to architectural decisions and code reviews to ensure a high-quality, scalable, and maintainable codebaseCollaborate with cross-functional teams including product designers, product owners, back-end and front-end developers to define, design, and ship new featuresChallenge the status quo, don’t be afraid to ask “Why?” and take initiative on improvementsAs part of the Mobile Chapter make an impact across multiple OptiView products by being the technical leader on AndroidQuality Assurance and OptimizationDevelop comprehensive unit tests for code robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliabilityWork on bug fixing and performance optimization of our iOS applications and SDKImplement and maintain integration with external data sources, third-party libraries, and APIsEnsure optimal performance across a diverse range of Apple devices and iOS/tvOS versionsInnovation and GrowthContinuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiencyTake initiative by testing and implementing cutting-edge video and mobile technologiesStay current with evolving mobile landscape trends, architectures, and emerging technologiesParticipate in the modularization strategy of our SDK to ensure flexibility and reduced application sizeContribute to our cross-platform initiatives (Flutter and React Native) by making sure the native SDKs can serve the higher-level SDKs seamlesslyQualificationsEducation and ExperienceBachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field5+ years of professional experience in iOS application developmentProven software development experience with iOS SDKsExperience with video streaming technologies is highly desirableTechnical KnowledgeStrong proficiency in Swift (and Objective-C) programming languagesDeep understanding of the iOS platform, including UIKit, AVFoundation, and related frameworksExperience with video playback technologies, especially streaming protocols, like HLS (and MPEG-DASH)Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating third-party librariesFamiliarity with version control systems, particularly GitSkills and CapabilitiesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication abilities and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsExperience mentoring junior developers and providing technical leadershipUnderstanding of the full mobile development lifecycleAbility to work in an agile development environmentPreferred ExperiencePrevious work with media playback and streaming technologiesExperience with modular SDK development and library integrationKnowledge of DRM technologies and video advertising standards (VAST, VPAID)Contribution to open-source projectsExperience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines for mobile applicationsExperience with tvOS, AirPlay, and Chromecast integration #J-18808-Ljbffr
