Customer Delivery Driver – Winchester Extra Tesco Winchester, England, United Kingdom About the role Rate of pay: starts from £13.35 an hour, increasing to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. Hours: We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; flexible options for as little as 12 hours are available. Availability windows: Sun: 19:00 – 23:00 Mon: 18:00 – 23:00 Thu: 18:00 – 22:00 Sat: 18:00 – 23:00 Shifts are scheduled within these times and you will receive three‑week notice of your exact schedule. Responsibilities Ensure van and trays are clean and organized. Keep the back yard clean, tidy and free of litter. Wash trays as part of the tray wash process. Load the van and check roadworthiness. Communicate with customers about any changes to orders, offering refunds where appropriate. Handle product delivery with care, treating items as if they were your own. Inform customers they will not be charged extra for substitutions. Deliver during the customer’s time slot. Call customers before arrival if early. Contact the store if running 30 minutes or more late. Requirements Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and customer focus. Show warmth and hospitality in all interactions with customers and colleagues. Respond promptly to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store. Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations, balancing work and personal life. Share improvement ideas with managers and colleagues. Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA full or automatic driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
