Junior Technical Services Estimator

Junior Technical Services Estimator – Pareto Facilities Management Ltd Working hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours. Reporting to: Chief Commercial Officer. Role Overview In this newly created role, you will manage and quote Facilities Management tenders, support the business through coding maintenance tasks to SFG20, and drive an accurate labour load for submission, involving multiple self‑delivered and subcontracted service lines. Key Responsibilities End to end management of the estimating process Early understanding of full tender and submission requirements Compilation of a detailed cost model Supply‑chain management for obtaining quotes for new business tenders Collaboration with key members of the team to obtain necessary information Work with the sales team to develop a clear strategy for each bid Set input requirements and agree realistic deadlines in line with bid timescales Ensure all relevant parties are engaged and kept up to date throughout the process Drive continuous improvement through internal and customer reviews Skills & Experiences Technical services industry knowledge Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, particularly engineering and account management Ability to work to tight deadlines and reprioritise workload with changing demands Maintain a flexible attitude to work tasks and workload to ensure tender deadlines are achieved Competency in MS Office software, notably Excel Creative thinking Problem solving skills Strong commercial awareness, with previous experience and understanding of SFG20 Desirable Relevant engineering qualification (HNC or equivalent) Experience with submitting completed pricing models to an existing or prospective client on time and within budget Qualifications Previous experience as an engineer or junior estimator Good understanding of the facilities management sector, with maintenance as a focus area Ability to track and forecast gross margin contributions for new business Support handover of successful tenders to operations and finance teams This is a new role for Pareto and offers a great opportunity to grow within an expanding organization.
