Overview We're looking for enthusiastic and experienced van/ 3.5T Drivers to join our clients busy and growing international removals team in Exeter. Having a full UK driving licence and physical strength is vital for this role. Responsibilities As Removals 3.5T Driver, you will be responsible for driving, moving and handling customers household/ personal possessions. Initially shadowing current Drivers to secure knowledge of the role, routes and build confidence. Interacting and communicating effectively with customers and colleagues in the movement of goods across UK and Europe. Providing assistance in the moving and handling of customer goods, including driving to and from location (long and short distances) across the UK and Europe. Packing and wrapping customer goods before manually and physically lifting (aided and unaided) onto vehicles or into location. Completing the necessary on the job paperwork to a high standard. Undertaking daily vehicle and safety checks, routine maintenance (e.g. oil and water checks) and report any defects. Follow H&S Guidelines and carrying out Banks-person duties. Undertake the regular training required. Qualifications / Requirements We're keen to speak to reliable drivers who hold the necessary HGV 2 / Category C licence as well as the customer care, packing/unpacking, loading/unloading and problem solving skills this position demands. Previous warehouse / forklift experience would also be an advantage. Offer In return, the successful Removals 3.5T Driver will be offered up to £34,000 in line with skills and experience.
