Aspire People are looking for an experienced and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work in a primary school in Hinckley. In this role, you will be providing 1:1 support to a child who requires assistance in managing their behaviour and improving their attention span in class.ResponsibilitiesProviding 1:1 support to a child with behavioural difficulties, focusing on improving attention and managing behaviourUsing de-escalation techniques to help the child stay calm and engaged in lessonsImplementing personalised behaviour strategies to encourage positive outcomes and emotional regulationSupporting the child with social skills development and fostering positive relationships with peersWorking closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies as neededHelping the child feel more confident and included in classroom activitiesRecording observations and progress and providing feedback to the teaching teamRequirementsPrevious experience working in a UK school, ideally in a behaviour or SEN roleExperience supporting children with behaviour challenges, ideally in a 1:1 capacityStrong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategiesA calm, empathetic approach and the ability to remain patient in challenging situationsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsA proactive attitude and the ability to think on your feet to support the child effectivelyBenefitsCompetitive daily rates of payOngoing professional development and training opportunitiesA friendly, supportive recruitment teamA commitment to matching candidates with schools based on skills, personality, and valuesHow to ApplyIf you are passionate about working with children to support them in managing their behaviour and improving their attention in school, we would love to hear from you.
