Water Treatment Engineer

Our client is a well-established water treatment company with a reputation for delivering professional, quality services to a national client base. They are looking to recruit an experienced and committed Water Treatment Engineer to cover contracts in the Colchester area. The ideal candidate will come from a strong water treatment and chemical background with experience carrying out tank cleans, disinfections of water systems as well as closed system analysis. Consideration will be given to applications from Braintree, Witham, Chelmsford, and the surrounding areas.Qualifications & ExperienceThe applicant must come from a strong chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment background.Experience working as a water treatment engineer within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.Having the City & Guilds or WMS will be beneficial.Will be well versed with the water treatment industry and legislation.Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Supervisory experience would be advantageous.Key ResponsibilitiesTank cleans, disinfection of mains water systems, descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, etc.Monitor client’s air and water systems to ensure compliance with the current Health and Safety legislation.Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers, etc.Temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems.Install and maintain dosing systems.Building and maintaining a professional relationship with clients.Flushing of chilled systems.Some pre commissioning & heated systems work.AttributesThe successful applicant will be a team player with a strong work ethic.This company offers an attractive salary, depending on experience, company vehicle and many other benefits.Recruitment AgencyFuture Select are recruiting in the Water Treatment/Hygiene industry, we work with the best clients & candidates and supply the majority of permanent jobs in the market.Other rolesWe would be interested in speaking to candidates with experience in any disciplines from Risk Assessors, Service Engineers, Account Managers and Business Development/Operational Managers through to Director level.Application ProcessWe are inundated with applications, we will endeavour to get back in touch, however if you have applied to Future Select and you have not heard from us after a week, on this occasion, you will not have been successful.
