The successful candidate will contribute to the execution and collaborate on the design of the investment strategy to provide investment partners with high quality investment solutions and outstanding service, to continue to be the most respected investment team in the ILS asset class. This position is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities and collaborating to design, execute and monitor the investment strategy.ResponsibilitiesContribute to the monitoring and optimizing of portfolios by managing, tracking and reporting fund allocation in accordance with policy.Collaborate to design, execute and monitor investment strategy of all funds in the Asset ManagerResponsible for selecting, structuring, and modelling transactions, optimising the selection of transactions of various products.Contribute to the business planning, sourcing and analysing new investment opportunities.Oversee regular investor reporting ensuring it meets the needs of our clients.Collaborate to develop investment products in conjunction with the portfolio management and underwriting teams.Assist with investor communications on general investment topics.Minimum Qualifications, Skills And ExperienceUndergraduate degree required.Minimum of 5 years’ experience operating in a related role with strong technical expertise.Experience in ILS and/or Asset Management, with catastrophe bond management experience being advantageous.Background in underwriting, catastrophe modelling or actuarial science would be beneficial.Proven ability in managing a full portfolio lifecycle, including trading execution and monitoring.Strong commercial awareness and ability to drive and implement strategy.Extensive experience in managing relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, protection buyers and sellers, and brokers where appropriate.Technical ability to source, manage, track and report fund allocation.Ability to present complicated ideas clearly and concisely to different stakeholders.Advanced experience in SQL and Excel together with experience of more advanced programming languages (such as R or C# or Python).Proven experience working with a diverse team, with the ability to coach/mentor and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.Strong analytical reasoning skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets, interpret results and distil large amounts of information into key findings.Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure.Diversity and flexible working at Hiscox: we care about our people, hire the best people for the job and are committed to diversity and creating a truly inclusive culture.
