Head of Governance & Compliance 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Salary: £63000-67000 Location: Hybrid/Gloucesterhire (2-3 days per week on site in Gloucestershire) A leading Public Sector organisation is seeking a senior leader to take on the role of Head of Governance & Compliance .All potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.This strategic role provides organisation-wide oversight of governance, risk, information management, compliance and business continuity.Reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Officer, you will help shape corporate governance and support effective decision-making across the organisation.The Role You will: Lead internal control and governance processes, including the organisation's risk management framework.Oversee audit and compliance activity.Provide senior oversight of information governance, information security and data protection frameworks.Maintain key governance documentation, including policies, risk registers and business continuity plans.Lead the organisation's Business Continuity arrangements.Advise senior leaders on organisational risk and compliance matters.Manage relationships with national regulatory, audit and inspection bodies.Oversee internal audit planning with the CFO.Lead insurance arrangements.Chair governance and risk boards and act as Deputy SIRO.Manage a multi-disciplinary department of around 40 staff.Please note: You'll need to meet the role's security clearance requirements, including five years of UK residency, no criminal convictions and a stable financial history.If this sounds like the right fit for you, please apply at your earliest convenience.d02fcfcb-6df4-40ee-95cf-3eb059ce3173
