Main duties of the job You will be working with a diverse community enabling you to develop knowledge and skills around differing cultural perspectives whilst delivering nursing care. We work in patients own homes and residential care homes. Our patients are over the age of 18 with a predominant physical nursing need. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop‑in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex. This post will be subject to a probationary period. This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (minimum £1,303 and a maximum £2,198 per annum, pro rata for part time). Job responsibilities Applications from students and newly qualified nurses are welcome as we can offer you a comprehensive induction and local preceptorship programme. The ideal candidate must be a registered nurse (Part 1) registered with the NMC and will work as a member of the Integrated Community team, working within and across professional and organisational boundaries. Liaising with GPs, other professionals and statutory and voluntary agencies, he/she will deliver individualised care to patients under the supervision of the Senior Nurse.
