Client site‑based 4‑day week🔒Security Clearance Required: DV & sole UK nationalOutside IR35, inside IR35 and staff opportunities availableWe are looking for multiple Design Engineers (Tooling) to support a key client based in Reading.The main focus of the role will be to ensure that the design, procurement and operation of process, tooling and equipment is safe, cost‑effective and configured in line with company standards.Your Missions🛠️ Design of tooling or equipment utilising Siemens NX software.🖥️ Presentation of solutions at interim and design reviews.📐 Production (or management of the production) of all Technical Product specifications in support of the design (drawings, specifications, process flows, MI’s etc).🔧 Manage the modification of existing tooling and equipment as required.🗂️ Produce and maintain Design History Files utilising Siemens Teamcenter.🛒 Assist in the procurement of tooling and equipment.📋 Responsible for requirements capture and management to meet customer expectations.💡 Optioneering: Idea creation, analysis & down selection of proposed candidate solutions.🧪 Planning, coordination and execution of physical experiments, tests & trials.🧭 Mentor and guide the work of other engineers in making technical decisions.🔍 Operate as checker/peer reviewer for design team to ensure high quality of technical output.🌍 Ensure responsibilities are understood and applied with regards to the Company’s Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.🔐 Safeguard Company information and assets from unauthorised access or disclosure, reporting security breaches and applying security at all times.Why join the community of Switchers?🚀Over 55 years of nuclear engineering expertise – we’re in the Top 3 globally🎉Attractive benefits: Holiday bonuses, access to an employee assistance programme and more.📈Career growth: 70% of our managers were promoted internally.At Assystem, we celebrate diversity and creativity.
